Followup : Fuel pump refund @ MarineEngine
They first emailed me a return mailing label for free return shipping after speaking with them on the phone about the issue .They inspected the pump and found it was leaking at the gasket between the aluminum pump base and the adjacent plastic section. I was quickly refunded my money.
