      I’m new to this site and a member.. Doug Penn referred me to this site.. I have a 1915 evinrude Rbm and need some parts and technical questions. Any info would be appreciated in navigating through this site and forums thx

          Thank you Wayne,Iam located in Minneapolis,Mn And I am in need of a condenser for my magneto..I also am interested in what the compression is suppose to be on average? I had to costomize a pair of three rings for my piston RIght now as it stands I have about 50 psi and all the motor will do is pop and maybe run 2 revolutions tops.. But I tested the condenser and found that it was leaking and that the coil is good and that the points We’re arking. also am curious what the point gap is to…will try and get some pics posted soon thank you for your fast response Jess

                I believe the condenser is about .22 mfd. I used an OMC universal condenser on mine. You can’t set the point gap with a feeler gauge. I believe you set the points so they start to close as the window in the flywheel starts to move over the points. If there is a better way I’m sure someone will be along to explain it.

                I gave it some more thought. The 1915 probably has different points than my 1922. Setting the points is likely different than mine.
