      Good Morning Members!
      Restoring a 1921 Evinrude RBM SN. A116125
Trying to determine if the hose between the water Jacket and Exhaust and hose between water jacket and pump were originally red or black….or….delivered with both colors.

      Thanks,

I have seen them both ways, although the barn find originals I saw were so filthy, the hose could have been any color. From my pictures, the beautifully restored model Steve Woods was giving rides in at our Mt. Dora meet had a reddish orange hose on it.

The hose on mine appears original… red with 1/4" long brass ferrules on each end.

One of my 1920 RBM’s has a section of red rubber garden hose on it! At least that’s how it was when I found it. 🙂

Ditto. The one we have sitting in the shop has red hoses as well.

I have used red and black, fact is NO one probably knows for sure… use what you want and enjoy the motor…
