          How do it suppose to reverse? It appeared to be a magneto motor……..
          they don’t spark counter clockwise rotation, do they?

              Tubs, Thanks! I learned something today. Summary from the video demonstration, and
              explanation that followed……. “Some pre-1927 magnetos were designed to run in
              either direction. Seems like the engine motion is “way too fast” at the time it reverses,
              and that the heavy flywheel would twist the crankshaft right apart!

              The video made the “reversing” of the engine look easy.
              Perhaps I missed it Tubs, but is your Lockwood still set up with the original
              ignition, or converted to OMC universal coils?
