She’s no “Swiss Watch” yet, but maybe when you get to run
it on the lake a while it will smooth out. Even if it doesn’t,
not bad for a 95-year-old motor!

I can only hope I’m still running that well when I’m 95!   Nice motor.

Bob, I think we’ll both be lucky if were just still running!!!

When I get a better day, it will get some barrel time. I’ve learned its best to run a tank of gas through motors I’m running for the first time before they make the trip. From what I understand these aren’t great running motors, epically at lower speeds. The fuel is taken at the bottom of the port cyl. Doesn’t make for even fuel distribution. I suspect that if you slow one down far enough the starboard cyl. drops out.

I suppose when it was new the crank bushings were nice and tight,
and the 30w motor oil kept the crankcase pressure optimal.
It would be interesting to see how a new one off the assembly
                line performed.

Tubs, you don’t have any parts for these do you? I’m in need of a good set of pistons or a whole powerhead.

                  Thanks

Sorry Aidan, I don’t have anything for these. Many of the parts on this motor show its been well used, but it was complete. I would have been interested in a parts motor, but after all this time, nothing ever became available.
