      Would the remote controls for this 1935 Evinrude been
      a factory option back then? Pretty neat outboard……

        The only "remote controls" available for the Sportfour in 1935 were for the throttle only and took the place of the twist grip on the tiller. The two handle control shown with the motor were made by Tru-Stear in 1952 for the RD Johnson and Big Twin Evinrude. . . 😀
