          I came up with a Champion D14 gapped at .025 for the 4.2hp (499).

Guys, thanks for the information, but I am trying to find the original O:E plugs that they left the factory with? The modern D-14 or D-16 plugs usually do not have removable threaded tips like the old brass tops do. The D-16 is equivalent to a C-7 correct? Not sure about a D-14 equivalent.

Yes – Champion C7 was the original spark plug, also used in the Elto Ace and Evinrude Sportsman & Sportwin.

Would that not be equal to the NGK AB6? Or would it be AB7 ?🤔

                    Champion C-7 Equivalent spark plugs.

I used a 8-32 die and chased the threads on the AC Delco C86 spark plugs I had and installed on Model 499 (see pic)

The Model 449 (2.8 HP) had RIVERSIDE (WARDS) 4C plugs installed?
