I have an older Neptune, I think the coil may be bad, Can I replace it with something from a newer year? Wouldn’t a coil from a small motor work? As long as it fit?

I have done this more than once. It works great

MonkeyButt.. Thank you for much for your suggestion! Would you have any suggestions on what years, or motor sizes I would look for, for coil replacements? So I can find model numbers of coils to purchase? Its a 1.5hp so its a little motor.. Thank you!

Tubs.. Thank you for your suggestion and help, are there any coil model numbers, or years and engine sizes you can suggest to find a similar size replacement for mine? 1.5hp
