        I don’t mind pulling the powerhead on the 7.5s at all. Just takes a few minutes. Gives you a chance to inspect the seal assembly as well, as stated. Pay attention to that!

          If you really hate it that much, you can cut the shift rod by the water pump and then file notches for a coupler. Just don’t complain when you mess up the lower crankshaft seal while you’re putting it back together.
