Question…….can anyone provide a picture of the rubber strap p/n 376432 in it location as it should be? My CD12 was missing this piece…..finally found one.
It’s obvious as to where the pin end needs to be. ( center hinge pin on the cowl) but for the life of me, I can’t determine as to what the other end is supposed to
fasten to. This was a hard to find part. Any help appreciated. Ed Elliot provided me a complete parts catalog…….(thanks ED !) but doesn’t show this .

Do you have a picture? Not sure just what piece you are speaking about, perhaps someone else knows though….

There should be a little knob sticking up on your request to Winder and you press the little hole on the other end on the knob

Does your rubber strap have a wire hook in it? Perhaps your part isn’t really a 376432. I’m thinking the hook goes in a hole on the starter.

The strap in this photo is broken but there is a stiff wire hook which goes on the end of it and it hooks onto a tang on the starter housing.

No, there’s no wire …strap that I have is shown in the pic I provided and as shown in the parts list…….but I can fabricate something that will work.
                  Thanks guys……..
