Would anyone have a parts list?
Marine Engine doesn’t list the 56 model lineup anymore.

I just purchased a Penn Yan run-about with a 1956 Evinrude Big Twin 35 model 25924. Are there any sources for parts and service manuals in electronic format? There are a couple of features in the engine Iā€™m not familiar.with.
1 – A small fluid tube runs from the upper main bearing area to the lower main bearing area. What does this do?
2 – There is what looks like a solenoid valve to the left of the carb. It has a hose going to the intake manifold just above the fuel tank air and a wire up to the magneto area. Somewhere I saw a reference to a shut off valve. How does this work.

Also, what are the best sources for engine parts?

    Thanks

    1956 would be a 30hp.

    1. Oils the upper main bearing

    2. Vacuum cut-out switch. Prevents uncontrollable engine runaway in event of over-revving in neutral or other no-load conditions, such as a broken shear pin or loss of a propeller.
