December 2, 2021 at 11:09 am #250568I have not downloaded any manuals yet I’m pretty computer Illiterate but i definitely need to figure that out .. as far as the price it has new coils ,new impeller , all new seals in the lower unit , and rebuilt carb , all oem parts he wanted $ 300 i got it for $ 150 i hope i did ok
December 2, 2021 at 12:35 pm #250572no so bad price wise……. if you figure parts costs … cheaper than taxes on a new engine…:-)
downloading the book is easy as pie …. find it….copy it…(download) . in a PDF file then print it on double sided pages in black and white to keep cost down
and have it wire bound at a local printer shop. 🙂Joining AOMCI has priviledges 🙂

December 2, 2021 at 5:21 pm #250581Yeah, if it has all those new parts and the work was done well, then that price is good. The seller probably lost money on it, which is par for the old outboard course.

December 3, 2021 at 5:42 am #250596I think some of them had the poor quality lower crank shaft seal and they also had plain bearings on the small end of the connecting rod….at least mine did….that probably led to the earlier demise of many of them. 15s are cool but the 18s were a big improvement, in my opinion.
Long live American manufacturing!
