What are the initial carb setting for both low and high speed on this Evinrude 10 hp?

Not sure if it would tell in the 10th Edition OMC manual or not,
but when in doubt, I usually start with about 1-1/4 turn on the HS,
and 3/4 turn on the low speed.

    Prepare to be boarded!

Did you mean the opposite?? 3/4 turn high speed, 1.5 turns low speed??

Interesting indeed. But, I’m wondering just what models this page was meant for…Doesn’t really say. I guess most models (produced back when this was written) conform to these initial settings…

On the hundreds of different smaller Johnsons I have ran most needed at least 3/4 on the high.I always start with 1and 1/2 on both. When its cold in the fall you usualy have to open the slow speed needle to get the motor running than adjust after it warms up.
