If I were to convert my 1957 Johnson 35hp from a 2-line pressurized fuel system, to a single-line fuel system, what would be the most recommended way of doing it, since I have seen many different ways? Thanks.
Find a fuel pump and bypass cover from a later model, bolt it up, change the fuel fitting, re plumb, plug old pressure barb, and Bobs your Uncle.
Chris, now you did it. You have all the non-Canadians Googling "Bob’s your Uncle".
Yeah. I ‘bit’……
I say "pardon me" a lot. I had a 20H, then raced open mod sleds.
I think you’ll find the 35 intake port already has the boss there – just need to drill the center one through and tap the other two holes.
The holes are already there because a fuel pump kit was a factory accessory item.
Would a fuel pump like this one work?

It will work if it isn’t too tall (don’t know). I do know the 18-7351 will fit
What would I do to the fuel nipple coming out of the intake? Plug it somehow?
Yep, put a vacuum tube cap and clamp on it.
