      Hello, new to group. I need to replace some shifter and throttle cables on my 1957 Johnson Seahorse 35hp. I have the old ones. The replacements all seem to need some refining to the ends in order to fit. Before I start buying stuff I don’t need, does anyone have any tips/guides.

        If you mean the nylon adjuster nut at the motor end, that is an improvement that they all come with now. Yeah, the new ones won’t fit the old cable locks on the sides of the motor, which need to be replaced.
