      I’VE GOT A RECENTLY ACQUIRED 60 HP SCOTT WITH THYE OLD TIME GENERATOR THAT HAS THE POINTS BUILT INTO THE LOWER PORTION OF THE GENERATOR. I’VE NEVER WORKED ON ONE OF THESE THINGS, SO IT WILL BE A LEARING EXPERIENCE FROM THE GET GO. I WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE IT TO CLEAN IT UP AND SERVICE THE POINTS AND BRUSHES IF NEED BE, BUT I’M CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING IT BACK TOGETHER WITH THE CORRECT TIMING. I CAN’T FIND ANY LITERATURE ON THIS ISSUE AND WONDER IF ANYBODY KNOWS HOW IT IS DONE. I’M NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE TIMING BETWEEN THE FLYWHEEL AND GENERATOR AS THAT INFORMATION I DO HAVE, BUT THE ADVANCE OR RETARD PROCEDURE TO GET THE SPARK AT THE RIGHT TIME. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ANYONE CAN GIVE ME BEFORE I GET MYSELF INTO A JAM. I’M ATTACHING A PHOTO OF THE GENERATOR/DISTRBUTOR THAT I’M DEALING WITH.
