Seems like most online parts are only going back to 1968, these days. Marine Engine has the year listing for 1959, but when I continue to search, I can’t select the model. Can somebody with a good old paper parts list tell me what oil seal I need? thanks.

I’ve been looking at 1960 and then 1958 and comparing mostly. If they are the same its likely going to be the same for 1959. Not perfect by any means.
September 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm #83558I just got this from Marineengine.com.
1959, it is still there:

September 26, 2018 at 3:29 pm #83560Oh, the seal is the same…. if memory serves…At least my seal puller works for both
And wow did not notice, the 18 hp missing….

classicomctools@gmail.comSeptember 26, 2018 at 3:34 pm #83561It’s there but not linked to from the 1959 page…. It’s for Johnson so cowling parts are going to be different but most likely the powerhead parts references will work ok…..

I will delete it when you tell me you downloaded it.

September 27, 2018 at 9:34 am #83591Thanks, everyone. I got the whole diagram from cajuncook so I am good to go. I have the power head all apart anyway, so no seal puller is required this time. I do have one of those, though…an OEM one. Thanks again!
