I believe my boat and motor are ready to hit the water, it’s been 50 years!! I bought it a year ago at an estate auction and the help I’ve received from the forum has made the launching possible. Thank You!!
So, assuming everything goes well (I hope) I’d like to adjust the carb, which has been rebuilt. If someone could advise me on the process I would be very grateful. PS – I may have caught the bug, that is, I’m looking around for another old outboard. I got a line on a 25 hp Chrysler. I’ll see where it takes me.

Initial settings: slow speed 1.5 turns out. High speed 3/4 turn out. When on water adjust high speed to optimum at WOT. Then idle down and adjust slow speed to optimum. Turn clockwise until it lean sneezes then counter clockwise a little until sneeze goes away, probably 1/8 to 1/4 turn.
