      Help Please
      Richard

Wondering if you could help me.

The 3.5 Viking I just bought leaks gas out the bottom of the leg through what looks like the water intake or exhaust.

When I turn off the fuel it stops.

I even put some oil in the cylinder and it too came out the bottom.

      Compression is low at 60

      Any ideas would be appreciated.

      Thx

      Bob

Do you know how many turns out from seated the carb adjusting needle should be

The large needle not the mixture screw above it

          Thx

There’s some information here about setting up your carb.

The motor in the iboats article is a 3-hp Gale variant.

The 3.5 Viking of the early 60’s is an air cooled West Bend variant, probably built in Barrie.

That being said, the advice was correct !
