AD 11 carb settings

I’m sorry if this is a redundant question… what are the initial carb settings on a 1957 AD 11. I just purchased it on Saturday so I’m working my way through this engine. Thanks in advance.

I believe AD series is 1-1/8 turns open for low speed and 1/2 turn open for high speed.

You might try 1.5 turns out on the low speed needle and 3/4 turns out on the high speed needle. It is easier to lean out a slightly rich mixture than try to get it running on a leaner setting…You may in fact end up with the settings described in the last post though…
