I am working on my buddies Rd-17 which has a male pressure tank fitting.
But as of yet he does not have a working pressure tank nor do I.
So what I have done is in order to dial in the carb is-
Take a female pressure tank fitting and block off the air side.
I figure I would pump the single line bulb once in awhile
Would this set up affect the running of the engine?

Without a fuel pump on the motor, I kinda think you’ll be pumping the bulb a bit more than once in a while!

don’t forget to open the tank  cap if you plan to do this a long time 🙂

I’d have your buddy be lightly pumping the bulb the whole time. If you have a rising and falling level in the bowl while you’re trying to dial in the carb, I don’t think that would work out in your favor. Or better yet, just use one of YOUR pressure tanks. You have one, right? You’ve been around a long time on this site….

            Long live American manufacturing!

I decided to willy nilly a fuel pump to the pressure tank fitting
