      I have this fuel tank I found in my garage. The indicator gauge plastic is melted away

       Should I try to repair it to original or just find something that fits on top and move the connector over?

        To be honest…..
        Just get an OMC tank, or even a Mercury metal tank and change the fitting from yours to the replacement tank.

        That motor won’t care where it gets its fuel from..
