      Hello…..

I would like to know the application for a vintage OMC float Part Number #277047.

Does anyone have a “Where Used” book that shows such things?

      Thanks!

I can tell you that it was used only in Evinrude motors. That’s all I know.

That appears to be a large float and possibly from a larger motor, such as a 35-40 horse or bigger.

Are you working on the big ones now Chuck?

A-HA. nothing like a picture. That float is for a 1950 Evinrude 14hp, serial number 3400-up

Mumbles; no not really. I try and stick with motors that I can pick up and move around.

That’s pretty amazing Frank that you can recognize that float from that picture. I have access to one and was wondering what it fits. It appears to be used with a horizontal needle…..much like the 1949 Johnson QD10. Similar in that one respect but obviously different.

              BTW……anyone have a parts manual for the 1950 Evinrude 14HP Fastwin? Model Number 4438 and 4439 ????
