      😕 For some reason this doesn’t seem to fit the code. It’s a 35hp evinrude probably early nineties with code ce20crcdc. I think the twenty is suppose to mean twenty horse but the vowel says 35 and it looks just like my buddy’s 35 he has. (His transom bracket is wider though)

      Any ideas ?

        Oops. I meant to say early 80s

          OK, this is how I break down your serial number but it might not be right.

          CE 20CRCDC

          CE = Canada Evinrude

          20 = 20 Horse Power

          CR = Canada Derated, Rope Start

          CD = 1986

          C = Model Run Suffix

          So what you have is a Canadian built short shaft twenty horse Evinrude with a 35 horse cover or hood on it.

            Is it possible that the lower unit and gear case can be from a twenty but the power head a 35? I’ll get the number on the power head to confirm.

              The 20-35 all used the same basic configuration. The 20 used a lighter duty clamp assembly. Also had s smaller bore carb and a restricted intake manifold.
