        1947  4423 .. 3.3hp  . must be similar to a HD  or TD ..?

you would  need some leather  seals for the primer pump and  a float (Merc floats can be fitted)

the rest is mostly cleaning   maybe cutting your own gasket     …see poche family site and Johnson  redbook

This carb is nothing like the one on a TD or HD,  Totally different animal. Supposedly the first carb designed using a computer, back in the day. It is unique.  Biggest issue is primer cups are hard to come by.

Adjustment needle is very blunt, so a little bit of adjustment goes a LONG way. Adjust this one very slowly.

interesting I had no pics of the animal .. I guess Evinrude and Jonson has two masters   the 50-60s  J&E are almost twins 🙂

                  any chance  for pictures ??

                  thanks for the update
