I have a Wards Sea King 7.5 hp single cylinder air cooled outboard. Model K7515106B Serial Number 15117682. Manufacturer was Clinton. What are the recommended initial settings for the idle needle valve and high speed needle valve? I removed and cleaned the carburetor.
      Any help will be appreciated.

      Regards.

Until someone chimes in with specific info for this motor, go with this general procedure. Always start out on the lean side, needles just barely open, maybe 1/4 turn. Prime or choke, that should get gas into the cylinders and it should fire up, even if only for a few seconds. If it doesn’t keep running , open the needles another 1/4 turn and try again… keep this up until she keeps running. With two cycles, my experience is that too much fuel and flooding are the biggest hindrance to starting. So begin lean and progress to rich.
