Converting a CD11 to pump using the plugged channel  method behind the carb plate. Routing hoses to a side pump on the shifter side  is kind of tricky using 5/16 hoses. any special trick ??

When I converted my CD-11, I used Tygon tubing for the air and fuel lines due to the tight spacing.   Here’s one pic I have of the routing under the carb.

And btw, that should be 3/16″ tubing for your CD-11.

The air pressure pulse nipple  and carb inlet probably  but my round mikuni pump barbs are 5/16 barbs  like my cheapo* amazon side connector.  found some blue  fuel  line  in my kit box  looks like  .25  it does fit th carb and pressure barbs  but i’ll have to mcgiver them into 5/16 pump side. .

the main  fuel hose (side connector to pump in) is rubber  5/16 and fits  ok

so I have  2  lines to mate  (pulse and  fuel out)  to the pump barbs  I’ll figure something out or  sand  down the rims on the pump  barbs down to .25 (4/16)

              • notice the rounded  base is backwards  for a CD   Ii needed to square off the round end to flip it over and  round out the  square end !

              thanks

I used an adapter fitting for the 5/16 incoming fuel connection to the 3/16 Tygon hose feeding the pump.   Works fine.

ok tanks i’ll check locally if I can find those… if not i’ll try amazon

I noticed how you bolted up the side connector using the   hole just  rear of the oblong base  which would  have made my cheapo adapter fit better and right side up. 🙂

it never dawned on me to use  the 2  little humps to support it laterally 🙁  Duh….

For whatever reason I never see these adapters available in stores.  They come in handy every once in a while and they are available in all the common combinations.

I guess I never paid any attention to it before, but on my CD-11 that fuel hose connector cutout is oriented backwards (like yours) from all my other 1950s OMC motors.   Our CD-11 motors have the semi-circular side of the cutout oriented forward while my other Johnson and Evinrude motors have the semi-circular side oriented toward the rear and the square side facing forward.   I now vaguely recall that was why I mounted the fuel connector between the 2 lugs.
