well i need help again . just landed a real clean champion 2J . no spark , coil has many cracks and crumbling . its a cylinder shape held on by clips . any ideas on a replacement ? thanks in advance

February 13, 2021 at 11:35 pm #230508Buc, I personally have not done this conversion but have been following discussions on another board. It was stated that using wire was difficult due to clearance issues. Here’s something another person wrote. “I got a piece of K&S brass strip about 1/4″ wide. I bent it to fit the contour of the coil, soldered one end to one of the little solder terminals on the side and JB Welded the brass strip to the side of the coil.”
I’ve also heard of someone using heat shrink.
