Does anyone know if the carb off a 1939 deluxe single and standard 1939 single are compatable? I am looking for a carb for my 1939 s1e and found one off a D1e but am not sure if it will work or not. Any help would be appreciated.
      Thanks

As far as I know, the difference between standard and deluxe is the addition of an auto-rewind starter and had nothing the do with the carburetor. If I am wrong , I will quickly be corrected[/=color]

Thanks. I know nothing about these things. All new to me and my son.

My book shows the S1E has a MS-85D carb and the D1E has a MS-85DX
In 1939 the S1E had no synchronization between the carb and magneto.
The D1E was synchronized. That would be the difference in the carb’s, the syncro linkage.
