      Hi I’m new here. I was hoping someone could help me find a replacement set of coils for a 1950 vintage CC Commander. I spoke with Lee Holland already so that’s not an option. I was hoping someone could recomend one the would fit and work. Thanks in advance

        Are the coils in the Commander Bendix Scintilla like the Challenger?

        Only thing I found in my notes was regarding the impellers……. not sure
        who’s info it is…….
        ====================
        The Chris Craft Commando has a lot of similarity to the Mercury KG7.

        A little known fact is that the impeller from a KG7 will fit into the Commander…

          Here is the Ebay link for the coils…. This will require some finesse but they do work.

            Lee mentioned to me that that was the company but IDK if they are the same ones.

              Richard, thank you I ordered them and will see if they work soon. Will let you know for sure if they get the motor running.

                Remember, the output is NOT where the original was, so you will need to isolate it to ensure it does not arc out and ground to anything….. maybe a inner tube sliced to slide over protecting the terminal…
