I’m with jpatti on the epoxy primer. It’s top shelf and about as bullet proof as it gets. PPG makes one called EURO primer. It has the same yellow hue as the old zinc chromate but is a far superior formulation. Be careful with any of the epoxy primers though, the fumes will kill you without the proper breathing equipment.

I like the gravity feed as the other gun will drip & really makes a guy angry! Did me anyway. Has anyone ever shot airless? I have years ago but I was painting a earthmover. A little different if I may suggest

Hi Tom, yes it has been a few years since I’ve been to a Texas meet. Jon Wiggins, Lou Danley, Casey West and myself use to come down there. You May remember those guys?
I did speak with Lee Holland today. He was very helpful, and we had a good conversation on the phone. I always like to ask around before I jump into a new project, it always seems to help.
I will post some more pics as I get this Commander back in service. Many thanks for all the help!
