Anybody know the part number for the lipped seal that comes in the evinrude/johnson 15 hp motors?   I am working on a 1956 15 hp Evinrude.  I noticed it does not have the carbon seal on the lower crank bearing.  I would like to replace it.

My 1956 parts list shows OMC seal #303804.

Good to hear from you ede!   BTY is the top seal the same number?   Do you have them?   If you do let me know and I will send you an email.

Yes, parts list says both the upper and lower crank seals are the same number.

I should mention that the lower seal goes in with the lip and garter spring facing out, towards the bottom. This is opposite of the top seal and is meant to keep water and exhaust out of the crankcase.
