Wouldn’t you know it? I’m reading my downloaded manual to get the torque specs for my cylinder head bolts, and it refers me to Appendix A-3. I scroll down, and lo and behold, it skipped from A-2 to A-4. I’ve written to the website I bought the manual from but there’s been no reply yet. Does anybody have this info that they could share with me? Also, I am an auto mechanic with car engine rebuilding experience, and there is always a pattern, i.e. 1 thru 10 for example, and you torque them down in three steps. I didn’t see that mentioned in the manual, either, or is that not a thing. In the absence of guidance, I guess I’d start from the inside- between the cylinders- and work my way out. Lastly, what a booger, as my shop teacher used to say! Out of the ten bolts, 9 snapped off, and that was after trying heat, cold, penetrating oil, and careful impact wrench use. Then of course one of the screws drilled out a bit off center, so I had to install a helicoil in that hole. Thanks in advance for your help, again, guys

Take a look there.
March 11, 2026 at 12:32 am #308334Thank you, appreciate it. I did get a reply from the seller; he sent me a link to the missing page, but your diagram is really nice and comprehensive. Really brings home the difference between cast iron and aluminum when you go from foot pounds to inch pounds. Luckily the new digital torque wrenches make the conversion and accuracy really easy compared to the beam or spring wound types. Onward and upward!
