      Looks like the scintilla style coil would be a better fit for this conversion than the dual OMC coils.

          Yes,the scintilla coil.Remove the rivets and drive a few middle plates out of coil.The rest will be easy.

            The primary was on top of the sleeve, I had already pulled it off. I went ahead and cut the sleeve off and it was just holding the laminates together. I am afraid to use the Scintilla type coil as the ends of the laminates are so much smaller then the original ones. I think the original ones would have to be cut down a lot to fit in the Scintilla coil. Utilizing the 7/16″ guide on the original coils I think I may be able to just remove a few layers and get it to work with the OMC coils. Of course I’m learning as I go, but that’s my 2 cents. It may only be worth a penny though.
