      GANG: Looking for the latest help / info on getting about a 10 HP electric motor into a outboard housing also about 10 hp . Any help or pics of a center console install , not just a tiller location.
      Have another newbie friend on a small lake ,, 10 hp assn restriction, etc…… Have seen a few You tube videos, but they are mostly dis – assemble machine mods, etc..

          By friend just bought a 1957 ELTO 12 that was converted to electric. The motor is only good for up to three hp I believe. Sadly, I don’t have any photos. It took an adapter plate and some machining, but it works. You can buy a new 9.9 hp electric outboard for about the same price as a new gas powered machine. Its the batteries that are the problem. Expensive, heavy and consumable.

          I guess I was wrong. Here are a few photos of it. The seller claims it is a 5 hp gas motor equivalent. FWIW
