Interesting. I haven’t seen one of those tapered flywheel nuts yet. I would have thought it would provide less stress.

I found a “crest shaped” (as Wayne described) bracket in the box that fits the midsection. I wonder if I can just swap that out with the other one and use that yoke? I have two yoke. One is a “broke yoke”……with an interesting fix. The other has a pulley for the rope to ride through instead of just a hole.

The only way to find out if it fits is to try it. Not all of the parts are compatible without modification. Used a steering g toke from a new motor on my 1924 model C until I found a replacement. I had to recast the mounting portion as the newer yoke would not work with the old mount.

If your tank matches your crank case you have a C. Some of the early C’s do have square tanks. Rudder F, A, B and C’s flywheels will fit each other’s crank shaft.( also D’s) G’s, J’s, L’s and early Speedster’s flywheels I believe will fit each other ‘s crank shafts also. The carburetor appears to be later too. But remember they were always experimenting and it is not uncommon to come across motors that are stamped “Experimental “

Sorry, miss typed, no L’s, meant K’s.
