I recently picked up an old Super ELTO Light Twin, SN# 92638. I have a couple of issues:
1) What year was it mfg?
2) What is the power unit called that includes battery, solenoid and spark plug connection?
3) Where do I find manuals on ELTO parts, running, service?
4) I also need a replacement fly wheel, key way on original is broken. Thanks for your time and future assistance.
HarrisonNovember 16, 2021 at 5:16 pm #249783Hi Harrison. As discussed on the phone, its a 1929 Elto Lighweight rated @ 3.5 HP and it is the folding model.
The power unit you’re referring to is the coil.
I’ll look thru my data for scanned copies of manuals and such but I’m hoping that Tubs or some other folks can jump in here and help out with anything they might have.
Also as discussed, check with Penn’s Old Outboards for a replacement flywheel.
Hope this helps.
Best,
PM T2EDIT – seems a discussion on this type of motor just got started in another forum on this site.

The coil that PM-T2 has mentioned is a different
size than all other Super Eltos however I made a
replacement out of PVC. There is inexpensive
new coil that will fit in there. Here are a couple
links that will show you how to make a coil
however you will have to run wires to
the kill button in the tiller on your motor.
Also a including video on the timer.

Cant post too many links in one post. Here is
the coil I made for one of mine. As I remember
the PVC is still a little big so I had to flatten a
couple spots to get it in there. It has to be 15
years or more that I made it.
