Have a 1939 Envinrude Elto Cub.  Has some rust inside the gas tank.  Gas tank is in ok shape.

Is Evaporust a good way to remove rust inside the gas tank?  I plan to use the motor(not a wall hanger).

Evaporust will work on the rust and is safe for paint, so its a good choice to use, especially on a small tank like that one. Hope this helps.

He's livin' in his own private Idaho..... I hope to go out quietly in my sleep, like my grand-dad did..... and not screaming, like the passengers in his car...

Evaporust works pretty good, but I tend to use a product for etching cement
and / or de-rusting metal as it’s a lot cheaper.

I get it at Home Depot.

Did you get the little Cub running last Thursday?

          Prepare to be boarded!

Did not get the cub running on thursday.  Steve & Ted worked on the poppit valve and got it running strong on friday.  Got it home and it started, but then quit.  Saw rust sediment in the fuel screen so decided its best to clean the gas tank.
