Has anyone out there in the marine world heard of an EVERLAST outboard motor. I’ve just seen a picture. Maybe the guy is yanking my chain. From the looks of it I would say it’s early 60’sand likely built by Gale division of OMC. It is red on colour. And has a fibreglass bonnet that looks like a 1959 Evenrude Sportwim. Anyone ??????

This sounds familiar. I think this question may have been asked before. Do you have a photo? I’m sure it’s a home-fashioned design. Like the occasional John Deere and Harley Davidson outboards we see.

I think your right on. I just had a closer look at the picture and I see blue paint underneath the Red. Yea it sure looks like an Evinrude. Where he saw or came up with the Everlast name I’ll never know.

Ever since I can remember, the EVERLAST brand has been associated with Boxing. They make all kinds of Boxing equipment. Sounds like someone was having fun with the name.
