While disassembling my Evinrude Sportsman Model 4416 gearcase One of the parts broke. The gearcase had some really nasty hard grease and some aluminum oxidation . The drawing I have lists it as part number 276-321 . I am wondering if anyone has a updated part number? [or perhaps that part in their parts box] Thanks in advance

That prop shaft and bearing assembly was also used on the Sportwin from 1948 through 1951. I know of no superseding number. Well over 100,000 were built, you should be able to find one –

The replacement gear case seals are SKF-5523 and SKF-4770

The 276321 P/N for the bearing carrier doesn’t appear in any of my superceded lists so the number should still be good.

If you can’t find that part, I have a 4416 donor motor sitting here you are welcome to. You just have to pay me for the shipping costs.

I had two – I couldn’t get anyone to take them & they went to the dump . . . The clamp screw handles on them that say Evinrude (1948) are going for $10 on Ebay
