      I found an ugly duckling of an Evinrude that made its way home with me today. Its a Fisherman 6 Hp model. I can not find the data plate on it. Any clues where to look for it?

        It should be on the port side transom clamp. If it’s missing, there will be two real tiny rivet holes where it should be.

          On the starboard side of the block there will be a welsh plug with numbers stamped on it.

            The engine cover decals look to be 1968 graphics….

              Thank you! I found it under several layers of paint. Turns out its a 6902M model built in 1969.
