Can you indentify this Evinrude year? I just picked it up and was curious as to what year it is. It has 26-1905 on a cap on the side.

I can’t help with the motor, but the stand looks like it was out of King Ludwig’s Castle!

looks like a rowboat motor with an rewind starter. I don’t know.

That would be a Caille 5-Speed, I don’t know the year, but likely pre-1924. Need photo to confirm, but it all looks right except the carb.

Looks like my Caille 5 speed #31448, but the carb is different. Can’t remember the year it was made.

Definitely a Caille 5 Speed, and a great find. I believe the recoil starter was introduced around 1915, so without checking serial number etc, your Caille would have been built between 1915 and 1924.

As a side, I have a friend over here in Australia that is working on one right now. His recoil starter is however damaged internally. Will need to fabricate many new parts to get it operational again.
