Finishes for Marine Grade Transom Plywood

Asking for feedback on finish options for marine grade plwood, urethane, stain, or other.

Inner transom material appears to be white oak that just needs to be lightly sanded and refinished.
Outer, thinner 1/2″ plywood needs replacing. I’m planning on going with a 1/2″ 5 or 7 ply marine grade plywood.

I use a good spar urethane on mine. Still need to give it some love every 2 or 3 years.
