      Hello
I recently purchased a 1969 6hp Evinrude outboard with no tank. I bought a used tank and bought a hose online. The tank and motor have 3 pins for the connectors. I believe 1 pin is for fuel, 1 for the latch and the other for alignment maybe? The hose has only 2 holes, 1 fuel and 1 for the latch. The problem is the fuel o-ring seems to be too deep in the connectors and doesn’t seal. Any help please. It seems I have the wrong connectors.

I’m pretty sure that’s a Yamaha fitting on your hose. You need an OMC/BRP fitting or an older style Honda fitting for the hose to work on your tank.
