      I’ve been using 16:1 forever. Recently I used a 24:1 mix with synthetic oil in a 5 hp Sea King and liked less smoke and less oil in my test tank. Would that be ok in my Gale 35?

        Someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but the 35hp Gale should be nearly identical to the J/E RD/Big Twin 35s. Those are 24:1 motors. 16:1 surely will not hurt them but they are designed for 24:1 mix.

          24:1 is correct.
