      Good thing you caught that and one more thing to watch out for! I’ve noticed that the Allen head ones are what is usually included in seal kits.

      Did you ever spray the plugs with soapy water to check for leaks?

        yes…well, the bottom one, and it was tight. But the plug had been out (to drain it), and I don’t know which plug I put back in…

        The upper had my pressure tester in it, so that’s not a meaningful test.

        In short, there’s really no way to know, after the fact, if they were the source of my water leak or not…but I suspect they were based on the dimensional info I discovered.

            To check the top one just use the bottom for the pressure and put the top plug in.
