I have a chain fall and a bar on my ceiling that I use to hoist my later model motors. I want to lift a 1959 58A. It doesn’t have the same threads for my eyelet that I use for the later models. The manuals I have don’t show how to lift the earlier models and I can’t find pictures/videos on the internet.
Is it best to remove the cowl wrap and top cover then apply a strap to the flywheel in some fashion, or should I buy (or build) a strap that I can put around the mid section to lift and balance it properly? I know I could get some help and just lift it, but having the chain fall and bar on my ceiling makes things very convenient.
Thanks,
Jason
