How to Dissasemble a 1923 Johnson South Bend Lower Unit.

I want salvage the lower unit housing for use on another motor.

Need help with how to remove the drive. prop shaft and gears from the lower unit.

I’ve found some good pictures others have posted showing the unit dissasembled, but haven’t figured out the sequence of how it’s done.

Pretty sure about the gear facing up. Been a while since I did one. Memory not so good. Why I have all these pictures. 

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
