New member here. Have a massive collection of vintage outboards and parts for sale. I have a few I will list as individual lots. My questions for members are: 1. What information for each motor and part should I be providing? 2. should I calculate shipping costs into offer price for complete motors? 3. The items are located in Coastal Mississippi. How far can I expect someone to travel to view the collection? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

A list showing the following info is quite helpful:
        Model #
        Serial #
Condition, i.e. parts motor, complete original, older restoration, newer restoration, etc etc.

Also, for your sanity, tag each motor with a number, 1-1,000 etc… use same number to match the motor with your list.
So if someone asks about motor 367, than you can find that specific motor much faster..
        Offer pictures upon request.

Expect LOTS of lowball offers, also expect that at least half of your motors will generate zero interest…sometimes …more than half..

Post your list in our Webvertise section, it is free…

        Good luck

I don’t know how many collectors there are down south, but I would expect that if you want to sell quick you would probably be best off finding somebody who lives in the central us(Kentucky, Tennessee, etc..) that would not mind driving a longer day trip who would buy a whole bunch of motors for cheap rather then asking more in proportion for a lower number of motors.

"Outboards seem to multiply exponentially..........I find that for every finished project, there are two more waiting to be completed."
