      The manifolds appear to be neatly cut off originals.As to motive,yes to any or all of above.

        Wish I could post pictures.
        My 1926 a25 came with copper cut out exhaust pipes they are about 4 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. I doubt they are factory but quite well done.

          My 1924 normally aspirated nitro burning A-25R retains the stock exhaust manifolds but uses a tuned two-into-one exhaust system to extract maximum power and RPM out of the powerhead. This motor would probably become unmanageable if it was fitted with a turbo on the exhaust outlet!
